PLANIT Technology Group employs VMware's own Virtual Infrastructure Model that facilitates a smooth and comprehensive virtual environment implementation. The four phases are:

The Assess phase analyzes your current server infrastructure to facilitate planning for moving to a virtual environment. From this analysis, you will receive documentation on your server inventory, a TCO model to help make financial decisions, and options for server virtualization.

The Plan phase creates a comprehensive blueprint for the implementation of a new virtual infrastructure. Also included will be a project plan that lists the resources and times needed to complete the implementation.

The Build phase takes the Assessment and Blueprint documents and actually implements the virtual environment. Your storage, network, and servers are configured, physical servers can be migrated to virtuals, and 3rd part applications such as backups and anti-virus are integrated.

The Manage phase helps ensure that this new environment is managed correctly and advises its users on what to look for and what to do when events happen. This phase is crucial to making the virtual infrastructure an operational and financial success.
