A Star is Born
Dataline Inc. was founded in 1990 to sell computer hardware by direct mail, mostly to local business.  This was, of course, before the days of Best Buy and many other computer retailers, and business was brisk.

Meteoric Growth
In 1993, Dataline hired talented people with software and technical expertise and got into IT integration, building computer networks using existing or “off-the-shelf” technology.  The business took off and Dataline grew from 5 employees to more than 250 employees in 8 years.

From the mid-nineties to 2006, Dataline continued to flourish, expanding its capabilities and practices to stay ahead of market demands, and opening offices in Richmond, VA, Herndon, VA, Charlotte, NC, Gaithersburg, MD, Charleston, SC, Tampa, FL, and San Diego, CA. By 2007, Dataline employed over 750 of the best and brightest. Additionally, Dataline continued to build a strong reputation as an information technology systems integrator for the commercial and government business sectors.

Our New World
In 2007, the federal services side of the business was sold and the commercial division was renamed to avoid any potential confusion...PLANIT Technology Group was officially launched in January 2008. The practice of recruiting the most sought-after talent in the industry and delivering a personal experience for customers has continued to this day.
